About The Program

INSA Visiting Scientist Programme 2019 invites applications from scientists/faculty working in any R&D organisation. The fellowship aims to encourage the participants to conduct advanced research or undergo specialized training at Indian Research Institutes/Laboratories. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • The candidates applying for this fellowship must be scientists/faculty working in any R&D organisation including universities or affiliated colleges of India.
  • The candidates must not have availed this fellowship in the last one year.

 

Benefits

The selected fellows will be paid a consolidated amount of INR 30,000 per month.

Eligible candidates can apply by following the steps mentioned below:

Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected by the Science Promotion Committee during its meeting in the month of March-April every year.

Terms and Conditions
  • It is preferred that the candidates approach the host institution and the scientist concerned to ascertain their concurrence to accept him/ her.
  • Every year 120 candidates are selected for the award of the fellowship.
  • The duration of the fellowship is for one month to a maximum of six months.
  • The fellows can work in a laboratory/ research institution of their choice in an Indian city other than their own city.
